Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Terpi, operated by Conversion System ("we"). By creating an account or installing the widget you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. The service

  • Terpi puts an AI assistant ("the budtender") on a licensed cannabis retailer's website. It answers shoppers' questions using your connected menu, the documents and rules you provide, and the pages it reads from your site, and it lets your team take over conversations from a shared inbox.
  • The budtender answers questions and shows products. Orders, payments and age verification at purchase happen in your own menu and store, not in the assistant.
  • Answers are generated automatically. We do not review individual answers.

2. Who can use it

  • You must be at least 21 and authorized to act for a cannabis business that holds the licenses its jurisdiction requires.
  • You are responsible for the widget complying with the cannabis laws that apply to you, including advertising, age-verification and delivery rules.

3. Your responsibilities

  • Keep the information the budtender relies on accurate: your menu connection, documents, delivery zones, rules and links.
  • Keep the age gate on unless your website already verifies every visitor's age before they can reach the widget.
  • Do not configure the budtender to make medical claims, target minors, or say anything your jurisdiction prohibits in cannabis advertising.
  • Tell shoppers they are talking to an AI; the widget does this by default, and you may not remove it.
  • Keep your account secure and manage your team members' access. You are responsible for activity under your account.

4. Accuracy and limits of the AI

  • AI answers can be wrong or incomplete. Menu data can lag behind your store, so stock and prices shown may change before checkout.
  • The budtender does not give medical advice and is not a substitute for a budtender, pharmacist or doctor.
  • Conversion System is not liable for decisions shoppers make based on the budtender's answers.

5. Plans, replies and payment

  • Paid plans are billed per location, monthly or yearly, through Stripe, and include a number of AI replies per location each billing period. Unused replies carry over while you stay subscribed.
  • Reply packs are one-time purchases, are used after your plan's allowance, do not expire, and are not refundable.
  • Plan and location changes take effect at your next billing date. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period; we do not prorate refunds.
  • When replies run out, the budtender stops answering until more are available. We may suspend accounts with overdue payments.

6. Data

  • You own the conversations, leads and content of your account. We process shoppers' data on your behalf to run the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.
  • You are responsible for having a lawful basis and any notices your jurisdiction requires for collecting shoppers' messages and contact details through the widget.
  • You choose how long conversations are kept (default 12 months) and can delete a shopper's conversation on request.

7. Third-party services

  • The service depends on providers including your menu platform (Jane), AI model providers, Supabase, Vercel, Stripe and Resend. Their outages or changes can affect the service; we are not responsible for them.
  • You are responsible for your use of your menu platform complying with that platform's terms.

8. Intellectual property

  • Terpi, its design and software belong to Conversion System.
  • You keep ownership of your content and grant us a limited license to use it to provide the service.

9. Termination

  • You can delete your account at any time in Settings. Deletion removes your dispensaries, conversations, leads and knowledge.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that break these terms, with notice where practical.

10. Liability

  • The service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind.
  • To the maximum extent the law allows, Conversion System is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 3 months before the claim.

11. Governing law

  • These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Disputes are resolved by binding arbitration in California, except where the law does not allow it.

12. Changes and contact

  • We may update these terms. We will email account owners about material changes; continued use after that means you accept them.
